What we collect
When you request a session, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. We ask for it so we can reach you quickly about your specific booking — a scheduling conflict, a studio question, day-of coordination — never for marketing or unrelated outreach. We don't ask for a mailing address or anything else to book a room.
Your payment card details never reach our servers. Card entry happens directly inside Stripe, our payment processor — we only ever see a reference token and the outcome (authorized, charged, released), never the card number itself.
How we use it
- To hold your slot, contact you about your request, and send booking confirmations.
- To notify the engineer you booked with, if any, that a session is scheduled.
- To keep a record of the booking for our own scheduling and financial records.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising. We don't have a mailing list you're signed up for just by booking.
Who we share it with
Two services process your information on our behalf, strictly to run the booking:
- Stripe — handles your payment. Stripe's own privacy policy covers how they handle card data.
- Google (Gmail and Calendar) — sends booking emails and mirrors confirmed sessions to our studio calendar.
- Google reCAPTCHA — checks that a booking request comes from a person rather than an automated script. It runs only when you submit a booking, and is covered by Google's own Privacy Policy.
We don't share your information with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept as ordinary business and financial records. If you'd like your information removed and it isn't tied to a legal or financial record we need to keep, email us and we'll take care of it.
Your browser (local storage)
On the booking home screen, we ask whether it's okay to remember you on this device — a plain Accept/Decline prompt, not something turned on silently. If you accept, we save your contact info (name, email, phone, Instagram handle) from your last booking, and, if you picked a specific engineer yourself, which engineer that was, so your next visit can pre-fill the checkout form and offer a "book with them again" shortcut. If you decline, none of that is saved, and anything already saved is cleared right away.
This lives only in your own browser's local storage on this device — never sent to us or anyone else until you actually submit a booking, and never synced across devices. Clearing your browser's site data for this domain removes it, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing that data and answering the prompt again.
